Iggy Agell graduated in Medicine from Barcelona in 1992 and is currently a Specialist Registrar in Liaison Psychiatry in the Yorkshire rotation.

 

Art is important in his family and he enjoyed painting from a young age. After years of trying to decide between Architecture, Fine Art and Industrial Design, he chose Medicine because he felt it was the best combination of science and humanism. Once qualified, he combined the practice of surgery with the study of art at Maestro Taure's Art Academy in Barcelona.

 

He arrived in the UK in 1995 and continued to train as a surgeon for two years before discovering psychiatry. He particularly enjoys life drawing and painting in pastels.
