The Counter Fraud and Security Management Service (CFSMS) is a
Special Health Authority which has responsibility for all policy
and operational matters relating to the prevention, detection and
investigation of fraud and corruption and the management of
security in the National Health Service.
National Patient Safety Agency
The National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) is a Special Health
Authority created to co-ordinate the efforts of all those involved
in healthcare, and more importantly to learn from, patient safety
incidents occurring in the NHS.
National Institute for Health and
Clinical Excellence
NICE is the independent organisation responsible for providing
national guidance on the promotion of good health and the
prevention and treatment of ill health.
