What we do in the Northern
& Yorkshire Division:
The Northern and Yorkshire Division
is one of the oldest Divisions of College. It stretches
from Berwick on Tweed across to Carlisle and down to
the east of Yorkshire. The Division has a membership
of over 1,000 which also makes it one of the largest
English Divisions outside of London. It has an active
academic programme and hosts two academic events each year. Both
events incorporate a trainee competition, for the best audit and
research. Each meeting aims to be fully inclusive by
providing interactive sessions for members as well as the more
traditional standard speakers.
The Division produces a
bi-annual newsletter, which is published just in advance of each
academic meeting. The newsletter is mostly used as a means of
enabling the Executive Committee to communicate with the membership
and for notifying future events and activities. However, all
members are encouraged to make contributions to the
newsletter. Anyone wishing to contribute to the newsletter or
to receive recent or archive copies should contact the Division
Office.
