WHO European Ministerial Conference on Mental Health: Facing the
Challenges, Building Solutions
Ministers of health from 52 European countries met in Helsinki,
Finland, 12–15 January 2005, to agree on action to be taken. The
conference was part of WHO/Europe's response to Member States'
growing concerns about mental health. At the Conference,
representatives of Member States discussed the status of mental
health in the WHO European Region and agreed on a declaration and
action plan with measures for improvement. PDF versions of those
documents are available on the WHO website.
