Forthcoming events

At this year’s College Annual Meeting in Liverpool, the Group organised three sessions on 3 June 2009. These sessions were devoted to the debate over therapies that claim to change sexual orientation. Details can also be found in our current newsletter.

Recent news

There have been a recent number of news items around the issue of  ‘treatments’ that change sexual orientation. Research by Michael King and Annie Bartlett, who are members of the Group, has highlighted the "harmful" aspects of this treatment. Nevertheless there are advocates of the self-termed ‘reparative therapy’ or ‘ex-gay’ movement: one exponent is Professor Nicolosi.
