Overview

The National Student Psychiatry Conference 2024 is a two-day event that will take place on 13th-14th January 2024 and is being hosted by the award-winning University of Sheffield Psychiatry Society. Sheffield PsychSoc are keen on challenging stigma, pushing boundaries, and strengthening your interest in Psychiatry!

Under the theme of Me, Myself and I, attendees will have the chance to explore the intersection of the ‘self’ and the ‘other’. Insightful speakers will be covering an unprecedented variety of topics ranging from climate change, personality, and disability, to emerging paradigms such as nutrition, space, and psychedelics. The conference will also utilise engaging practical workshops including ‘Build-a-brain’ and a ‘Faculty carousel’ where you can speak to representatives from each subspeciality face to face. Alongside profound lived experience talks this conference aims to highlight how diverse the specialty is and inspire the next generation of Psychiatrists.
