Overview
The Department of Health’s National
Autism Strategy was published on 3rd March 2010 and sets out the
need for local mental health services across the UK to develop
their care to meet the needs of adults with Asperger Syndrome.
The Royal College of Psychiatrists’
policy document “Psychiatric Services for Adolescents and Adults
with Asperger Syndrome and other Autistic-Spectrum Disorders” sets
out a range of competencies that psychiatrists should demonstrate
in order to work effectively in this field.
In light of these new developments,
our courses have been re-designed to help you feel more confident
in identifying, diagnosing and managing adults with Asperger
Syndrome in clear-cut cases. Each course stands alone, but there
would be added value in attending more than one, dependent on your
knowledge and skills.
Each course is eligible for 6
CPD hours subject to your peer group approval. Delegates
must register at the start and finish of the course to be awarded a
certificate of attendance.
