& Conferences (CALC).
The Royal College of Psychiatrists is the
professional and educational body for psychiatrists in the United
Kingdom. The college received its Royal Charter in 1926.
With over 16,000 members worldwide the Royal
College of Psychiatrists is an international leader in developing
excellence and promoting best practice in mental health.
Our pioneering Centre for Advanced Learning
and Conferences (CALC) is the unit within the College responsible
for developing and delivering the College's Conferences (some with
200 speakers) and Educational Training Activities.
CALC provides research and strategic
development to its members.
Working in Partnership
CALC partners with business organisations to
create bespoke programmes to support wellbeing of staff, CPD,
coaching and more to enhance organisational development.
To date, as a Royal College, we have worked in
partnership with national and international organsiations within
the private and public sectors to provide learning interventions.
The flexibility of our approach means we can support multi
national, blue chip companies, SME’s or charities with the same
focus and success for learners and the organisation.
The Royal College of Psychiatrists is
committed to improving the understanding of psychiatry and mental
health and aims to set standards and promote excellence in
psychiatry and mental healthcare. Working to improve understanding
of the interaction between mental and physical health and the
social and cultural context in which people live.
