As part of the MRCPsych Part II Basic Sciences written MCQ
examination paper, candidates are required to answer 165 individual
statements (the other component being Extended Matching Items -
EMIs). The following is a rough breakdown of the individual
statements contained in the Autumn 2003 examination paper (which
contained 200 statements) and is intended to give candidates an
idea of the areas of the curriculum covered. Please note that this
is a rough guide only and questions on other areas of the
curriculum may be included in future examination papers. The exact
number of questions in each category is also subject to change, and
questions may cover more than one category.
This breakdown does not cover the Extended Matching Item
component of the Part II Basic Sciences written paper.
