The Royal College of Psychiatrists Improving the lives of people with mental illness

23 December: sleeping well

Most of us look forward to Christmas but for people living with mental illness it can be a very challenging time of year. Many feel lonely and isolated from family and friends and others may be anxious about social situations or have worries about money problems or debt.

Each day leading up to Christmas we’re highlighting a different mental health resource from our site, which we hope will provide help and support not just for now, but throughout 2018 and beyond.

For 23 December we’ve chosen our information about sleeping well. If you have trouble sleeping - or know someone who has - this resource might help you. It covers some common problems with sleep, as well as some more unusual ones. There are some simple tips on how to sleep better and how to decide if you need more help.
