IFQO

IFQO: Information-based funding, quality and outcomes

There are many new approaches in which routinely collected information will be used for funding mental health services and for monitoring quality.  The resulting widespread organisational changes will present many challenges as well as opportunities.

These pages outline, both for members of the College and others, the background and general principles involved in the new methods, with shortcuts to further sources of information.

In each of the UK countries there is a mix of national and local projects at various stages, and it is often difficult to see how they relate to each other and to keep track.  As we develop the website we will emphasise the logical links between the components, provide progress reports on each of the key projects, and write a series of monthly reports on the IFQO initiative itself.

Versions of each document on these web pages may be replaced over time.

We would be very grateful for contributions, corrections and feedback.
