About the Division

The Eastern Division of The Royal College of Psychiatrists is one of the new Divisions to emerge from the 1997 restructuring. It is coterminus with the Eastern NHS Region and covers the following counties: Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

The Executive Committee meets quarterly and there are two Academic Meetings per year. We aim to have the Annual General Meeting in the Spring in Cambridge and a second meeting in November, at another centre in the region. We welcome suggestions for the content of the meetings and aim to combine key clinical and service issues with a strong academic content.

The Executive Committee is keen to hear the views of members from around the Region on any issue and to report these back to the College.

It is hoped that this will encourage greater participation in College elections. Please keep an eye open for your next opportunity to vote, and discover how easy it is!
