Trainee Questionnaire

Dr Robert Stamatakis

ST4, Forensic Psychiatry

There has been a fair amount of rumour and speciation in the medical and psychiatric press about the recruitment crisis in psychiatry.

In an effort to clarify the current state of affairs, it would be helpful if trainees could complete the anonymous questionnaire and return it to robstamatakis@mac.com - no reference will be made to location or grade in the results.

Now is a good time to make your comments, be they positive or negative.  Please take the time to complete and return this questionnaire honestly.

Psychotherapy Survey Wales

Attaining competence in psychotherapeutic approaches is an important component of core and higher training in psychiatry, as outlined in the Royal College's Guidelines on Psychotherapy Training.  Unfortunately, there is some variation in the support and guidance we receive locally across Wales.  The purpose of this survey is to explore the training opportunities across Wales, obstacles hindering their acquisition and their possible solutions.

We are inviting all psychiatry trainees (CT1 - CT3/ST4 - ST5) from across all regions in Wales to participate in this survey.

Please take a few minutes to log on to the survey document and complete it.  Your contribution will be of great assistance to strengthen psychotherapy across Wales.
