SOUTH EASTERN
DIVISION ELECTIONS 2012
There are over 1500 members in the South
Eastern Division and we want to encourage our Members to get in
involved with the College by way of being part of the Division
Executive. There will be elections in 2012 for the following
posts:
- Chair
- Education, Training & Standards
Committee Representative
- 2 x Executive Committee
Member
If you are interested in joining the South
Eastern Division Executive Committee, please complete and return
the nomination form to Sue Duncan, Elections Administrator, Royal

The closing date for receipt of nominations is
Monday 12th March 2012.
Deputy Regional Advisor Required
Wessex Region
There is currently a vacancy for a Deputy Regional Advisor in
the Wessex Deanery.
The Deputy Regional Advisor will have a
complementary role to that of the Regional Advisor and will act on
their behalf in their absence.

There are currently a number of posts
available for Regional Specialty Representatives within the South
Eastern Division.
Vacancies have arisen in the following
Specialties due to the current post holder reaching the end of
their tenure or the post is currently vacant.
Representatives for the following
specialties are required:
KSS
Region
- Academic
- Liaison
- Psychotherapy
- Child & Adolescent
Wessex
Region
- Rehab and Social
- Psychotherapy
- Academic
- Eating Disorders Section
Anyone interested in taking up one of these
posts should forward:
1. A copy of their
CV
2. The names and
contact details of two referees. The referees must be fellows or
members of the College, but should not hold office on the College
Education Training and Standards Committee,
3. A statement
containing a short profile of the attributes and experience they
feel they could bring to the post (electronic copies only

Regional Specialty Representatives will:
- have a keen interest in
maintaining standards of Consultant and other career grade
Psychiatrists;
- be full, current members of
the College;
- have held a substantive
Consultant post for at least three years;
- be in good standing with the
College for CPD;
- be able to fulfill the
requirements of the post;
- have discussed the role with
their employer and the employer is content to allow the time needed
to carry out the role;
- be up to date with their
membership fees.

Appointment Committees
If you have been a consultant for more than three years, would
you be interested in representing the College as an Assessor on
Advisory Appointments Committees (AACs)? Assessors are
crucial for ensuring that good practice is maintained at all AACs,
and we currently have a number of vacancies. We therefore
urgently need representatives in all psychiatric specialties and in
all regions (excluding Scotland).
