The Division covers both the Severn and Peninsula Deaneries and
part of Dorset. The Executive Committee meets five times a
year, usually in March, June, September and December and for a
Strategy Day during the summer. The Executive Committee is
very active and feels that it is important to keep members in
touch with the Division and the role it takes in representing
them. An Annual General Meeting is held in the spring to
coincide with the Spring Biannual Meeting.
High quality scientific conferences are
held in the spring and autumn with the spring meeting being held in
the south of the region and the autumn meeting held in the Bristol
area.
The Division, through the South West Training Division (SWDT),
provides high quality post graduate education for the personal
development and continuing professional development of
psychiatrists in the region.
