About the Trent Division
The Trent Division of The Royal College of Psychiatrists covers
the following areas: Barnsley, Doncaster, Leicestershire,
Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Rotherham,
Sheffield and the South Humber.
This is a large geographical area stretching from Sheffield in
the north, to Leicester in the south, and from the Pennines in the
west to the Lincolnshire coast and the Wash in the east. There are
three medical schools in the Division at Sheffield, Nottingham and
Leicester.
The Trent Division Executive Committee meets every 3 months at
different venues within the region, and an Annual Meeting with
a substantial academic content takes place once a
year. The Annual Meeting is open to all Members and
Associates of the Division - it has CPD approval and
includes various prizes and
competitions. The Executive Committee of the Trent Division is
particularly keen to encourage CPD and Affiliateship, and fully
supports the College in its drive against stigma.

Assessors for the College on Advisory Appointment
Committees
If you have been a consultant for more than three years, would
you be interested in representing the College as an Assessor on
Advisory Appointment Committees (AACs)? Assessors are crucial to
ensure good practice is maintained at all AACs and to provide a
constructive assessment of applicants' expertise for the
post. For full details on the role and how to become an
Assessor, please contact Charlotte Collins or
visit this web
page.
