The Trent Division holds an annual Medical Student Public
Speaking Competition. Each Medical School is invited to enter
a team of two people to speak for ten minutes on a pre-determined
topic. A prize of £200 and a certificate will be
awarded to the winning team. The runner up teams will receive £50
and certificates of participation. For further
information about this competition please contact Sue Corfield.
The Trent Division has recently established an 'Images of
Psychiatry' prize for the best photo taken by any member of
the Division, depicting mental health. Entries should be
submitted electronically with an accompanying paragraph of 150-200
words. All photos will be displayed on the Division's website
and in the Division's newsletter. The winning entry will be
displayed at the Trent Division Annual Meeting and a cheque
for £25 will be presented to the winner.
