The Trent Division holds an annual Medical Student Public Speaking Competition.  Each Medical School is invited to enter a team of two people to speak for ten minutes on a pre-determined topic.  A prize of £200 and a certificate will be awarded to the winning team. The runner up teams will receive £50 and certificates of participation.  For further information about this competition please contact Sue Corfield.

The Trent Division has recently established an 'Images of Psychiatry' prize for the best photo taken by any member of the Division, depicting mental health.  Entries should be submitted electronically with an accompanying paragraph of 150-200 words.  All photos will be displayed on the Division's website and in the Division's newsletter.  The winning entry will be displayed at the Trent Division Annual Meeting and a cheque for £25 will be presented to the winner.
