Postgraduate Deanery

West Midlands Workforce Deanery - The West Midlands Workforce Deanery is responsible for postgraduate medical and dental education and training in the area covered by the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority.

Strategic Health Authority

NHS West Midlands is part of the Midlands and East SHA cluster, alongside NHS East of England and NHS East Midlands.

The cluster came into being on 3 October 2011; it is one of four across England. NHS West Midlands remains a statutory body, within the new cluster.  It was formally established on 1 July 2006, following the merger of Birmingham and the Black Country Strategic Health Authority, Shropshire and Staffordshire Strategic Health Authority and West Midlands South Strategic Health Authority.
