Volunteer post in Bangladesh

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Bangladesh is looking for a volunteer to assist them with delivering teaching to postgraduate medical students and psychiatric trainees.

 

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) is the primary institute for postgraduate medical education in Bangladesh and is the centre for tertiary referral of psychiatric patients. BSMMU is also a centre for research.

 

Job Summary

The volunteer will be required to:

 

·         Develop curriculum on mental health for specialist workers

·         Provide teaching to postgraduate students in psychiatry and allied professionals

·         Assist with examining postgraduate students

·         Provide continuing education for mental health specialists in different psychiatric sub specialties

 

The volunteer will also be expected to participate in research activities.

 

Person specification

The volunteer should have some knowledge of Bangladesh, including its culture. Local language skills would be desirable but not essential as all local teaching is conducted in English. The volunteer must have good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

BSMMU are looking for a volunteer for a minimum of a month and a maximum of three months.
