National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH)

The National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH) is a partnership between the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the British Psychological Society and specialises in producing evidence-based guidance for practice.

 

It is a team of 20 people located within the Royal College of Psychiatrists and at University College London, which has expertise in information science, evidence searching, systematic reviewing, meta-analysis and working closely with expert academic, clinicians and service users to produce evidence based recommendations for practice.  

 

It was initially established by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to develop mental health clinical guidelines and related guidance for NICE.
