Recent news

The SIG, jointly with the Equalities and Diversity Team of University College London, has organised a half day seminar titled Straight talking: the impact of heterosexism in the workplace, on sexual orientation diversity and how to develop a more inclusive workplace.

It will be held on Monday 20 February 2012, 9.30am-1pm. at The Old Refectory, University College London.   

 

This event is open to managers and all staff with human resource responsibilities in the higher education and health sector. The seminar will include practical workshops on how organisations can provide a more inclusive workplace culture for lesbian, gay and bisexual staff. Participation is free for all Members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Forthcoming events

The SIG has organised one session at the College’s International Congress 2012 in Liverpool, titled Self disclosure in the therapeutic relationship, chaired by Dr Sandra Evans. This will be on Friday 13 July 2012, 11.30-12.45 pm.

 

Dr Trudy Rousseau will talk about self disclosure in relation to sexual orientation. Find out more about the full program of the seminar.

 

The session will be followed by the SIG Annual General Meeting. The exact venue of the AGM will be announced nearer to the conference.
