The MSIG actively promotes the involvement of psychiatrists in
the management and development of mental health services. We
achieve this through:
- Actively commenting on strategic and operational aspects of
relevant local and national policies.
- Developing forums for psychiatrists formally involved in
management and service development.
- Education and training initiatives for trainee psychiatrists
and students.
- Research in management and service development.
- Communication through newsletter and inter-agency liaison.

Membership is open to all Members of or
Associates of the College. Others may be invited to join at the
discretion of the Chair.
