Robert W Kerwin Prize in Psychopharmacology

The Special Interest Group in Psychopharmacology has established a prize intended to promote the role of psychopharmacology.  The prize will be awarded to the authors of a paper that is directly related to work in the field of psychopharmacology and has been published in the preceding 12 months. 

 

Prize: The prize money is to facilitate the attendance of one person at the College Annual meeting.

 

Frequency: Annually

 

Eligible: Anyone who has a clinical psychopharmacology paper published in any of the three Journals mentioned above during the preceding year.

 

Regulations

 

I.           This prize will be awarded to the authors of the best paper in the area of psychopharmacology published within the previous year in a Royal College of Psychiatrists’ related publication (British Journal of Psychiatry, Psychiatric Bulletin, and Advances in Psychiatric Treatment).

II.          This prize will not be restricted to people who are members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, but will be open to anyone who has a clinical psychopharmacology paper published in any of the three Journals mentioned above during the preceding year.

III.         The prize amount will be used to facilitate attendance of one person at the College Annual meeting, to receive the prize and ideally to present the winning paper in an appropriate symposium.

IV.        The Executive of the SIGP will decide on the winning paper.
