I hope you've all seen that the RCPsych Awards 2012 are now open for entries.
It's time to get nominating the individuals and teams who you think
are making a real difference to mental health services.
You will recognise many of this year's categories from previous
years - Core and Advanced Trainee of the Year, Psychiatric
Academic/Researcher of the Year, Mental Health Services Provider of
the Year, Psychiatric Team of the Year, Medical Manager/Leader of
the Year and Psychiatrist of the Year.
The award for Psychiatric Trainer of the Year - a category
introduced in 2011 - also returns this year.
Excitingly, we have two brand new awards for 2012. The
Service User Contributor(s) and Carer Contributor(s) of the Year
awards are specially designed to recognise the contribution service
users and carers are making to developing and improving mental
health services - at a local and/or national level.
Category criteria, rules and entry
forms can all be downloaded from the College website. If you
have any queries, please contact Nicola Boyce in the
Communications Department. The deadline for entries is Monday 27
February - so please make sure you enter!
