Working with Divisions

Project Aim

This project aims to empower College members in every English Division to firstly raise Fair Deal issues in their local area with politicians and policy makers, and secondly to raise the profile of the Fair Deal campaign with members and to promote discussion at the local level.

Background

College members and divisions have had significant involvement in year one of the Fair Deal campaign. To strengthen and extend this involvement, the Policy Unit launched the 'Working with Divisions' project.

This initiative will develop skills, knowledge and capacity within the eleven College Divisions in order to campaign on Fair Deal issues. Fostering and supporting these divisional initiatives will be key as the influence and the impact of the Fair Deal campaign is only as strong as the motivation and the drive of the College's members.
