About us
The Committee
meets four times a year to discuss guidance on psychiatric
professional practice, including issues of policy into practice,
confidentiality, probity and conflicts of interest. Members of the
Committee are those who have expertise and interest in ethics,
confidentiality, quality standards and the relationship between
policy and practice. The Committee also has the additional function
of overseeing the accreditation decisions made by the College
Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI). The committee has links with
the College Centre for Quality Improvement, the UK Clinical Ethics
