Assisting a person to die is illegal in the United Kingdom. A
change in the law is a matter for Parliament. The issue is not
currently under Parliamentary scrutiny. Should Parliament consider
changing the law, the College would be pleased to advise on matters
relating to persons suffering from mental disorders or those who
may lack mental capacity.
