CPD Online is an e-learning website, from the
Publications department of the Royal College of Psychiatrists,
which provides learning modules using a range of multimedia
techniques. It can be used for up to 10 hours of core learning
towards your CPD requirements.
Learning modules are all
peer-reviewed and provide a dynamic and rich information source to
improve your knowledge, help you acquire new skills quickly, and
enable you to keep up to date with new research and best practice
in psychiatry. There are currently over 86 modules to choose
from and more are being developed all the time.
- E-learning to fit around your timetable at work or at
home.
- Interactive activities and quizzes are incorporated to engage
users and measure understanding.

As self-teaching and flexible working
become increasingly important, a growing demand for online
learning has developed. CPD Online is

further resources such as journal
articles, external websites and events.
CPD Online may be used to acquire up
to 10 external hours of core learning towards your continuing
professional development (CPD) requirements (or 10 external CPD
points for psychiatrists in Ireland). Most modules take between 30
minutes and an hour to finish and on successfully completing each
learning module you can print out a certificate for your
records.
- Share the knowledge and experience of
experts in their field to encourage collaborative learning.
- Modules offer animation, sound and
video.
- Also includes modules based on
podcasts of interviews with leading psychiatrists, specially
produced for CPD Online.
- Relevant for fully qualified
psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.
