HoNOSCA Supplies

These scales have been designed to allow multi-disciplinary child and adolescent mental health services to aid in the routine measurement of outcomes for children and adolescents. The materials comprise of a brief report on research and development, trainers guide, glossary, score sheets and labels for case notes and the new video workshop.

Final report

This is the final report which details the development and field trials of HoNOSCA from September 1995 to March 1997. This report is split into the following sections:

  • Executive summary
  • Background and preliminary development
  • Field trials
  • Conclusions
  • References and appendices

Brief report

This is a summary of the final report. The first considers the HoNOSCA remit, followed by the stages of work and further background. The report is divided into the following sections: remit, stages of work, start-up phase, pilot phase, field trials, data collection, analysis and conclusions. It then gives details about the pilot phase and discusses the field trials which details the recruitment of sites, the data collection and analysis and finally, conclusions drawn.

Glossaries

These are small, handy folding reference guides to the rating of the fifteen HoNOSCA scales with a small HoNOSCA score sheet.

 

Score sheet

This is an A4 sheet containing a HoNOSCA score sheet.

Labels

These self-adhesive labels contain similar information to the score sheets but are much smaller and can be used to stick into case notes or other documents. There are four labels on each A4 sheet.

Video Workshop

This video provides a cost effective way of providing training for interested professionals. The video is designed to be interactive and is best used as an active training exercise. The video workshop contains a video, trainer guide, four glossaries, eight score sheets and a brief letter to the training organiser about using the HoNOSCA video workshop.

Costs

HONOSCA materials are supplied free of charge to UK NHS Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents.
