How is the audit organised?
The National Audit of Psychological Therapies is run by the
College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI) and it is funded
by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) as part of
the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme
(NCAPOP).
Advisory Group
An Advisory Group was established to ensure that all
stakeholders are represented in the process from the development of
the standards, to the design of the methodology and the
data collection tools.
Organisations represented on
the Advisory Group include both relevant service user
organisations and professional bodies, more information is
available on the 'Partner
Organisation' page.
The Project Team
The day to day running of the
audit is undertaken by an experienced project team of service user
experts, psychotherapy practitioners, researchers and quality
improvement professionals. The central team is based at
the CCQI and other regional or remote members are based across
England and Wales. If you have any queries, please contact us.
The Clinical Lead
NAPT is led by an experienced psychotherapist (Jeremy
Clarke - Chair of The New Savoy Partnership, IAPT National Advisor
and NAPT Baseline Steering Group Member), experienced in national
and international work on developing and improving psychotherapy
practice. Jeremy can be contacted via the central NAPT team
(napt@cru.rpsych.ac.uk).
Regional Leads

been appointed to assist services in their area during
participation in NAPT. Their roles include helping
services register for NAPT, guiding services through data
collection, facilitating the dissemination of the audit results and
