What is the Quality Network for Community CAMHS?
The Quality Network for
Community CAMHS (QNCC) is a members’ network which works with
professionals from health, social services, education and the
voluntary sector to improve the quality of CAMHS services. We are
about to embark on a seventh year of working with CAMH services
throughout the UK.
We are now in
the process of recruiting new members to the
network.
All types of
community-based teams are eligible to join, including tier
2/targeted services, tier 3/specialist services, learning
disability services and crisis and intensive services. Member teams
evaluate their performance against our standards through a process
of self and peer review. Participants are able to benchmark their
practice against similar services across the UK, measure progress
against key national policy and use the information from the review
in trust Quality Accounts.
There are a
range of membership options including discounted packages for
three-year membership or multiple team membership. Teams also have
the option of having an accreditation review, in order for your
service to gain accreditation from the Royal College of
Psychiatrists in recognition of good practice.
A joining form,
a sample of our service standards and a brochure which explains the
process and benefits of membership can all be found on this
page.
Alternatively,
if you have any further questions around membership you can contact
the team.
Benefits of membership
include:
- Demonstrate the quality of the service to young
people, parents and carers, commissioners and the wider
organisation
- Demonstrate cost effectiveness to commissioners,
and provide a framework for service level agreements – vital in the
current economic climate
- Demonstrate compliance with standards and best
practice – our standards are mapped against CQC, You’re Welcome,
GIRFEC, Healthcare Standards for Wales and other national
guidance
- Identify and address areas for improvement through
our supportive action planning
- Network and share best practice with CAMHS
professionals across the UK
