Who should join?
We encourage membership for any ‘Tier
2 and 3’ CAMH teams who would like the opportunity to evaluate
their challenges and achievements and to share ideas with peers
from other CAMHS.
Membership is at the level of the CAMH
team. We expect that a ‘team’ will generally constitute
the core single- or multi-disciplinary team typified by generic
Child and Family Consultation Services and primary mental health
teams. As services are configured differently across the UK and
Ireland, please contact us if you would
like to know whether the Quality Network can be applied in your
local area. Learning disability teams wishing to join the
network are also likely to be located within a variety of service
models.

Peer Review -
£2495 + VAT
- This type of review has two phases; 1) self
review, 2) peer review:
- Self review phase – complete the standards
workbook using a three point rating scale (fully met, partly met,
not met). This should be undertaken as a team so a range of
disciplines are represented.

process looking at areas of practice self rated as either partly or
not met. Much of the day will focus around information sharing with
peers.

amongst the team and with senior management, commissioners etc. The
report becomes the property of the service, and QNCC will not
publish it in the public domain.
Self Review - £995 + VAT
- Runs on a yearly cycle. Only available to
teams who are currently accredited, are joining the network for
their first year, or have had a peer review in the previous year of

Accreditation - £2495 +

- Runs on a three year cycle
- Year 1 – The accreditation review year has
four phases; 1) self review, 2) peer review, 3) AAC and 4)
PPEC:
- The self review phase of the accreditation
review is more comprehensive and includes questionnaires from a
variety of perspectives, policy and case note audits, and the
standards workbook.
- The peer review phase is a longer day with 3
– 4 reviewers attending, looking for evidence that your service is
meeting the standards.
- The data is then viewed by the accreditation
advisory committee (AAC) and they recommend an accreditation
status. There are four accreditation status’ 1, accredited as
excellent, 2, accredited, 3, deferred, 4, not accredited.
- This AAC’s decision is ratified by the
College’s professional practice and ethics committee (PPEC) who
will award the service with an accreditation decision. If you are
accredited this will last for 3 years.
- Whilst your service’s report will be confidential as above,
your service’s accreditation status will be published on the QNCC
website. Once accredited your team will need to continue to
participate in QNCC and provide annual data to show that you are
maintaining the quality of your service for another two years.
- Year 2 – QNCC Self Review or QNCC Peer review.
The team may choose either review type and prices and
processes are listed above.
- Year 3 – QNCC Peer Review
- In order to retain your accreditation status, you must
remain members of QNCC for the 3 year period.
