CYCLE 5 ANNUAL REPORT NOW AVAILABLE FOR
DOWNLOAD
This report explores the data collected
throughout Cycle 5 (January 2010 – December 2010) of the Quality
Network for Community CAMHS.
Seventy-five CAMH teams signed up to QNCC’s
fifth annual cycle. Of these, 11 teams were from learning
disability services, and 4 of the generic CAMHS teams undertook
pilot accreditation visits. In total, 43 teams participated in the
standard peer review process.
This national report contains the aggregated
results of the reviews undertaken by these 72 CAMHS teams in Cycle
5. The main body of the report provides an overview of key
findings, including areas of achievement and challenges that
community CAMH services are currently facing.
Furthermore, a full summary detailing the
average scores for each criterion for all teams in Cycle 5 is
included. It is structured around the various sections of the
QNCC standards for generic CAMHS teams or learning disability
teams, and enables teams to benchmark themselves against others in
the network.

BECOME A LEAD REVIEWER FOR THE QUALITY
NETWORK FOR COMMUNITY CAMHS
QNCC is now looking for dynamic and proactive
CAMH professionals to get involved in our work:
Lead Reviewers
(honorary contract, travel expenses
covered)
The successful candidates will attend on-site
visits on behalf of the project team, working with staff and
service users to improve community CAMHS. They will also provide
written summaries of the visits to the project team, which will be
largely produced on the day of the visit. This is an ideal post for
someone looking to develop their knowledge of quality
improvement.
The post is unpaid but lead reviewers would
have an honorary contract with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
and receive a free place at the QNCC annual forum. The
position would last one year and lead reviewers would be expected
to attend and lead a minimum of two QNCC reviews
within that time. Training is provided. Please download a
copy of the job
description and person specification.
Interested candidates should complete and
return the enclosed application forum and a CV to rbarrett@cru.rcpsych.ac.uk
explaining why they would like to become a QNCC lead reviewer and
how they meet the core competencies. If you would like to discuss
the role in more detail, please contact me. The closing date for
applications is Friday 25th March 2011,
and training will be held on Friday 15th April
2010 in London.
To apply, please download the application
form.
PLEASE NOTE that other QNCC
members with appropriate experience will still be able to lead
reviews but the purpose of this scheme is to develop a regular bank
of lead reviewers who will provide consistency across reviews.
