Governance


 

The MSNAP process is governed by several staff and committees:

 

 

Advisory Group


 

The MSNAP Advisory Group first met in May 2011.  The committee members are as follows:

 

  • Stephen Curran (chair) - consultant psychiatrist, Wakefield Memory Service 
  • Peter Ashley - person with dementia, Alzheimer's Society Ambassador
  • Emma Barton - occupational therapist, Hillingdon Memory Clinic
  • Emma Dickinson - occupational therapist, Isle of Wight Dementia Service
  • Teresa Greenwood - carer
  • Paula Lonsdale - community Mental Health Nurse, Ellesmere Port & Chester Memory Service
  • Chris Maj - service manager, Ashton, Leigh & Wigan Memory Service
  • David Matthews - consultant clinical psychologist, Croydon Memory Service
  • John Mulinga - old age psychiatrist, Lancaster & Morecambe Memory Service
  • David Norman - service director for the Mental Health of Older Adults, Croydon Memory Service
  • Sue Parker - service user forum representative

  • Jackie Smith - specialist dementia nurse, The Taylor Centre South Essex
  • Sharon Stephenson - nurse prescriber, Lancaster & Morecambe Memory Service

Accreditation Committee


 

The Accreditation Committee makes recommendations about the accreditation status of each service that is reviewed under the programme.  Our partner organisations have nominated formal representatives to sit on the Committee, and therefore support the accreditation recommendations made during the meetings. The members and the organisations they represent are:

  • Esme Moniz-Cook - British Psychological Society, Faculty for Old Age (PSIGE)

  • Kim Manley - Royal College of Nursing
  • Emma Ouldred - Royal College of Nursing
  • Fiona Proffitt - Alzheimer's Society
  • Peter Ashley - Service user advisor

Royal College of Psychiatrists Special Committee for Personal and Professional Ethics (SCPPE)


 

The SCPPE is the awarding body of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and all accreditation decisions must be ratified by them before they can be awarded to member services.
