Affiliate Membership of MSNAP


 

Who can apply?

Memory services who are not ready to apply for MSNAP accreditation at this point, but who have plans to in the near future. Affiliate members will be able to benefit from access to the network and the support of peers, with the eventual aim of achieving accreditation.

What are the benefits?

Affiliate members will receive the following:

  • Access to the MSNAP email discussion group
  • Two free places on the MSNAP peer reviewer training course
  • Opportunity to observe and/or participate in a peer review for another member service
  • Two reduced price delegate places at the MSNAP Annual Forum
  • Access to the MSNAP self review audit tools
  • Support of the MSNAP team and member services in quality improvement and helping to work towards accreditation, e.g. the opportunity to be “twinned” with a service that has been accredited as excellent
  • Certificate of affiliate membership
  • Listed on the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ website as an affiliate member

 

What is not included?

  • Self review data collection period (where services are supported in measuring themselves against the standards using specially developed audit tools)
  • Peer review visit from a multidisciplinary team of reviewers
  • Detailed report of self review and peer review findings
  • Opportunity to be a lead reviewer
  • Accreditation
  • Travel expenses to peer reviews (as observer)
  • Accreditation certificate and final bound report

 

Registration details

The subscription fee is £500 + VAT for each service and covers a two-year period. It is hoped that affiliate members will be in a position to apply for the full accreditation programme within this two year period. In this case, the £500 will be deducted from the cost of the full subscription fee. To qualify for this discount, services must register for full membership before their affiliate membership expires.
