What are our aims?
- Engage all those who use and work in
TCs in service evaluation and quality improvement
- Encourage an atmosphere of engagement as opposed to
inspection
- Provide evidence of quality and quality improvement for
commissioners, senior managers and the wider world
- Host a large TC skills and knowledge community that provides
information and support
How we
help Therapeutic Communities
- Provide tools and
guidance to support a cycle of self- and peer-review
- Provide local reports
which detail the results of the self- and peer-review including
clear action points and areas of achievement
- Provide a robust system of accreditation, ratified
by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Publish national
reports providing an overview of collective
performance, identifying common themes and enabling benchmarking of
practice against other TCs
- Members can use our standards and
process as a framework to monitor contracts and develop
service level agreements
- Enable staff and service users to use
and develop their skills by
participating in reviews, training as lead and/or specialist
reviewers
