About us

We are a College service, currently in our fourth year of operation, providing a high quality range of education and training opportunities for psychiatrists and mental health care professionals.

Our offices are in London and Leeds.  As we continue to grow, we will continue to offer a wider range of events throughout the UK and Ireland and, where possible in collaboration with the College’s faculties, divisions and special interest groups.  We are currently offering many of our course on-site so you and your team don’t have to incur additional travel and accommodation costs and have too much time away from your workplace. For further information please contact Emma George on 020 7977 6654.

The Changing Health Care Agenda

Our provision is being shaped to meet the future needs of all mental health and social care professionals, their services and importantly, the needs of patients, service users and carers. Linked to the College Research Unit, we can focus our events on the most up to date issues and development areas, which are influencing mental health both today and in future years.

Client Focused

Our service prides itself on being entirely client – focussed, proactive and flexible.  We constantly strive to keep the needs of our clients at the very heart of its curriculum development and to offer a provision of excellent learning opportunities underpinned by high levels of customer service and event management. All our training and development events are carefully planned and fully evaluated to ensure client satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Expertise and Collaboration

We work with a range of expertise, collaborating with other organisations to ensure that its provision is enhanced by a breadth of knowledge and experience derived from other professionals who share the same values, aspirations and goals. By working in partnership with others, the Centre can build on best practice and harness the potential of the future. Examples of partners include the NHS, NIMHE, NICE, Social Services, Universities, Colleges and other educational providers within the private and voluntary sectors of health and social care.

Working with Service Users and Carers

We also value and encourage the important contribution that patients, service users and carers can provide in helping raise standards by understanding and responding better to their needs.
