           13 March 2018 -  Retired Doctors Event

  • This day is an interesting opportunity for the retired (still working or not) and resting psychiatrist to hear about the current state of the world of psychiatry. There will be plenty of time for interaction and discussion and we hope that this day will be both entertaining and educative, giving benefit of valuable clinical CPD points, and the pleasure of social interaction with old and new friends. As always we have reserved some time to discuss the current situation regarding revalidation for the “orphaned” psychiatrist. More information and booking options to come.

23 March 2018 - Supervision: beyond the ticked box

  • Aimed at Senior Clinicians who give regular supervision and would like an opportunity to reflect on their practice with peers, particularly those who have already come across some of the challenges it creates. It is also open to ST6 doctors who are not yet regular supervisors. Attendees will gain a deeper theoretical understanding of supervision and learn new practical approaches to try. For those who have already completed the initial induction for educational supervisors provided by the Severn/Peninsula, this course can count as on going educational training for 2 years and counts for 6 CPD hours.
