  • Introduction to Psychiatric Ethics
4 October 2016 - Coombe Lodge, Blagdon, North Somerset

There has been a recent revival in interest in Medical Ethics, which has particular relevance for Psychiatrists. Mental Health Care involves complex decision-making, often balancing an assessment of a person’s capacity to make autonomous decisions and perceived duties to society at large. It is very difficult to rely on codified legal instruments for help in specific cases. This course explores the historical background to Psychiatric Ethics and provides a basic ethical framework for psychiatrists to use in everyday clinical practice.

The event will be led by Dr Brian Robinson, Consultant Psychiatrist and Dr Nicola Taylor, Consultant Psychiatrist.  You can apply by downloading the leaflet and forwarding to the office with a cheque, pay online below or contact the office to pay by credit or debit card.
