  • Organizing a meeting for Psychiatrists from Egypt and currently practicing in the UK in June 2008, at Belgrave Square, with the purpose of exchanging views on how best to plan mutually beneficial exchange of experience, training and expertise. Organizing a dinner gathering for UK practicing psychiatrists from the Middle East, following the above meeting.

  • Encouraging trainees to apply for bursary to attend the Annual Meeting of the College in June 2008, which resulted in the successful application of one trainee from Cairo, who attended the meeting, and was able to benefit from a quick glimpse on UK and International Psychiatry, and brought back home many useful and enlightening impressions, which he shared with his colleagues in Cairo.

  • Contacting interested speakers from the region to contribute to the Middle East Division session at the Annual Meeting – Liverpool 2009 on the topic of "Psychiatric services for refugees in the region".
