About the Faculty of Forensic Psychiatry

Faculty of Forensic Psychiatry

About us

The Faculty of Forensic Psychiatry grew from the Forensic Section in 1997. It is represented at the College by the Forensic Executive of 15 elected members and a number of co-opted members.

The Chairman sits on the College Council and a junior representative is co-opted from the Collegiate Trainees' Committee.

The Faculty concerns itself with all matters relating to forensic psychiatry. An annual residential forensic psychiatry conference is held for three days in February each year and there are many other joint conferences held throughout the year with other faculties.
