  • No health without mental health
    The RCPsych and the Academy of Royal Medical Colleges have Launched a campaign to strengthen both the provision of mental health care to people with physical illness,  and the quality of phyisical healthcare provided to people with mental health problems. There is an ALERT to 5 priority areas, which can be found here, together with information for patients and carers, healthcare professionals and other resources.

 

 

  • The Psychiatric Liaison Accreditation Network (PLAN) is the newly established Psychiatric Liaison Accreditation Network run by the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI).It is open to all liaison services in the UK and Ireland. Its aim is to support liaison services to continually improve and develop, at a suitable pace.

 

  • How liaison psychiatry services can transform quality and productivity in acute settings

    This Mental Health Network Briefing looks at opportunities to improve quality and efficiency in acute services by focusing on the needs of the significant number of patients who also have mental health problems complicating their care and discharge. It sets out some good practice examples together with academic evidence to build a business case for liaison psychiatry services.
