• Faculty Guidance on the implications of the Bournewood case - This is the Faculty interim guidance on the implications of the ruling on our practice. Members wishing to comment on this should contact the Faculty Chair through the Faculty executive list.

• A recent review of conventional (typical) antipsychotics by the European Medicines Agency's scientific advisory committee: Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP). This review has concluded that conventional antipsychotics are likely to be associated with an increased risk of mortality when given to elderly patients with dementia.
