Medical / Psychiatry Websites
Doctors.net.uk is a large, active
UK medical network. It provides a number of on-line resources
including sections on education, CPD modules, and an active forum
discussion board including a specific forum for psychiatric
trainees.
The BMA is the doctors'
professional organisation established to look after the personal
and professional needs of its members.
This website is for all
professionals working in mental health and outlines current news
issues in psychiatry, advertises jobs, courses and conferences, and
details opinions and research in psychiatry. There is also a
discussion forum open to all mental health professionals.
Doc2Doc
Doc2Doc is an online forum for
doctors run by the BMJ group. It includes blogs from experts and
forums discussing the latests journal articles. It includes a
closed psychiatry forum, only accessible to people with a GMC
number. You do not have to be a BMA member to access Doc2Doc.

This website is a detailed online
resource for doctors studying for the MRCPsych examinations and
includes revision tips, past questions, book reviews, details about
revision courses and an active discussion forum.
This website provides a number of
resources for MRCPsych candidates including past questions and
revision notes.
International Psychiatry
The Volunteer Programme for
Senior Psychiatrists and Specialist Registrars offers an
opportunity to establish out of programme placements for Specialist
Registrars in their second or third year of training who will be
eligible for an overseas placement approved towards a CCT for up to
one year of higher training.
The European Federation
of Psychiatric Trainees aims to represent in one body the
views of all psychiatric trainees and to provide a forum in which
to learn about the diversity and richness of the current training
of psychiatrists Europe.
WPA Young Psychiatrists Network
constitutes an assembly of all young psychiatrists within the
umbrella of WPA. Its components include the WPA Young Psychiatrists
Council (YPC) (composed of the young psychiatrists officially
representing WPA Member Societies), all Fellows from current and
past WPA Congresses, the members of the WPA Educational Liaison
Networks of Young Psychiatrists and Psychiatrists in Training, and
all young psychiatrist members of WPA Member Societies.
