DoLS Mental Health Assessor Training Course Manuals

The Royal College of Psychiatrists has produced the DoLS Mental Health Assessor Training Modules (and all related training materials) in collaboration with the Department of Health. In line with the DoLS Regulations (SI 2008 No.1858), the training is made available by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

 

The Royal College of Psychiatrists owns all the intellectual property rights (including without limitation copyright, registered and unregistered design rights, trade marks and logos) to the DoLS Mental Health Assessor Training Modules and all related training materials first published in 2008. The Royal College of Psychiatrists will grant a license for use of the DoLS training modules on the terms set out below.

 

Module 1: DoLS Introductory Training Module

(for medical practitioners who have at least three years post-registration experience of the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorder from a variety of medical specialties and who are not Mental Health Act Section 12 Approved)

 

Module 2: Core Training Module

(for medical practitioners who are Mental Health Act Section 12 Approved or for those who have successfully completed Module 1)

 

NHS funded organisations/individuals in England and Wales* - FREE license

A free license granted by the Royal College of Psychiatrists to use the DoLS Training Course Manuals for the training of NHS employed medical practitioners.

 

 

 

Non-NHS funded organisations/individuals in England and Wales* - Purchased license

I wish to purchase a license granted by the Royal College of Psychiatrists to use the DoLS Training Course Manuals for the training of NHS employed or non-NHS employed medical practitioners.

 

 

License Fees: £950 + VAT (if applicable) per module.

 

 

*The DoLS Regulations for Wales are not published to date but it is expected that these modules and materials will be applicable for use in Wales.
