The Royal College of Psychiatrists has produced the DoLS Mental
Health Assessor Training Modules (and all related training
materials) in collaboration with the Department of Health. In line
with the DoLS Regulations (SI 2008 No.1858), the training is made
available by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
The Royal College of Psychiatrists owns all the intellectual
property rights (including without limitation copyright, registered
and unregistered design rights, trade marks and logos) to the DoLS
Mental Health Assessor Training Modules and all related training
materials first published in 2008. The Royal College of
Psychiatrists will grant a license for use of the DoLS training
modules on the terms set out below.
Module 1: DoLS Introductory Training Module
(for medical practitioners who have at least three years
post-registration experience of the diagnosis or treatment of
mental disorder from a variety of medical specialties and who are
not Mental Health Act Section 12 Approved)
Module 2: Core Training Module
(for medical practitioners who are Mental Health Act Section 12
Approved or for those who have successfully completed Module 1)
