Overview

Managing patients with chronic depression is part of everyday psychiatric practice, but the evidence base for this has accumulated rapidly within the last few years, making it difficult for clinicians to keep up. This one day workshop is aimed at refreshing and updating your knowledge in the management of clinical depression.

 

The course will work through important aspects of assessment, pharmacotherapy and psychological therapy, taking into account recent British Association of Psychopharmacology and NICE Guidelines.

 

This course is eligible for 6 CPD hours subject to your peer group approval.

 

Topics include:

  • Assessment, Natural History and Prognosis
  • Pharmacological Treatments
  • Psychological Treatments
  • Treating special circumstances including pregnancy, medical/psychiatric co-morbidity etc
  • Service models for management

 

Registration
