Overview
What
does a coach do?
A coach works to your agenda. Coaches
use focused conversation and, where appropriate, psychometrics. The
Centre for Advanced Learning and Conferences has a variety of
coaches and your coach will be selected and the techniques tailored
to your personal requirements following an informal, confidential
conversation between you and the coaching service. The work will be
intensive, independent and always confidential.
If I am interested in coaching, or wish to support
a colleague in achieving this, what should I do?
Phone the Centre for Advanced
Learning and Conferences on 020 7977 6657 or contact us
at calc@rcpsych.ac.uk.
We will take your details and arrange a confidential telephone
conversation between you and Dr David Roy (or one of his coaching
colleagues). Once this conversation has taken place it will be
possible to identify the ‘best fit’ for an agreed number of
sessions (or even a one-off) within the framework outlined above.
This initial conversation can have a number of outcomes– a series
of coaching sessions, pointers towards alternative development
options or a decision that the time is
not right to proceed with coaching.
About the Course
How
long will the sessions last?
A confidential coaching session normally lasts for between one
and one and a half hours (60–90 minutes).
Do I need more than one
session?
It is possible to have a one-off
session, but it is more usual to arrange a series of six sessions
at intervals of one or two months. This will depend on your
individual need.
How
much does it cost and who should pay?
A single face-to-face, one and a half hour coaching session costs
£400 plus VAT. This cost is normally borne by your
employer. We can offer a discount for those who wish to book a
series of sessions. If you are unable to receive employer support
for any reason, we are able to negotiate packages of coaching to
meet your budget.
