Securing a core training level 1 (CT1) job

During the foundation year 2, usually between November and May, those interested in a career in psychiatry can apply for specialist training. For psychiatry, this training consists of three years of core training, referred to as CT1 to CT3. Subsequently, there is a further application for higher specialty training (ST4-ST6). The Certificate of Completion of Training, or CCT, is awarded on completion of this higher specialty training programme.
