The City Chambers are located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with stunning views of the city’s famous landmarks.

Welcome Reception and Launch of RCPsych Insight

Join us at the Welcome Reception and help us celebrate the launch of  RCPsych Insight, a quarterly magazine appearing in print and in digital format that includes the latest college news plus the work we are doing behind the scenes to ensure our voice is heard by government and those in power across the UK. It includes profiles of those working in a variety of disciplines, in many locations. Our first edition will highlight the recent perinatal bursaries, changes to the curriculum for neuroscience and include two big profile interviews with our incoming President Dr Wendy Burn and a farewell to our current President - Sir Simon Wessely.

In addition, we will be presenting our first ever, pocket-sized business plan;  Making An Impact. This guide outlines the work the College is currently doing on behalf of the membership and our strategic priorities, and it outlines our successes over the last three years.

RCPsych College Run

Date: Wednesday 28 June 2017

Run Start: EICC

Dr Owen Bowden-Jones is launching a college running club, with runners and walkers of all standards welcome. The club is kicking off with a scenic run around Edinburgh, there will also be a walk arranged for those who wish to enjoy the Edinburgh sites but do not wish to break into a jog. The exact route is to be decided but will be no longer than 5km and maps will be provided.

Owen is planning to produce t-shirts for attendees, which can be purchased from the College stand, as well as setting other dates for runs/walks later in the year, from London and other locations.


Retired Members' Lunch

We invite retired members of the College to come along to the retired members’ lunch which will be held at the Congress venue. The lunch will be an excellent opportunity to meet, network and catch up with other retired College members.
