Perinatal Psychiatry training event
30 May - 1 June 2017
In response to funding from NHS England, the RCPsych is supporting
the building of capacity in Perinatal Mental Health Services. This
includes delivering a number of training events to Consultant
Psychiatrists in the sub-speciality of perinatal psychiatry. We’ve
already delivered one training event in April 2016, and we will be
delivering another one from 30 May - 1 June 2017, in
The event can accept 50 participants who are
already Consultant Psychiatrists (e.g. General Adult psychiatrists
or those doing 1-2 sessions in Perinatal
Mental Health) who have little formal training in this specialty.
Trainees who are within 6 months of their CCT will also be
Places on the course are free to Consultant
Psychiatrists in England as this training is funded by NHS England.
A nominal fee of £600 will apply to Psychiatrists from the Celtic
Nations. All attendees will be expected to participate fully
in the three-day training programme, so applicants need to ensure
they can uphold this commitment, before applying.
