Overview
This training has been
designed to inform participants about the changes
to psychiatric postgraduate training place as a
result of the implementation of Modernising
Medical Careers
(MMC).
We will introduce participants to the
workplace based assessment (WPBA) tools used to support the
Competency Based Curriculum for Specialist Training in Psychiatry.
This course can be delivered in a one day or a half day
programme.
Course Aims
By the end of the training session,
delegates should be able to:
- Outline the changes
in training and assessment and the roles of the MMC and the
Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board
(PMETB)
- Use the assessment
programme within the Competency Based Curriculum for Specialist
Training in Psychiatry
- Recognise and
appropriately use the WPBA tools that support the
Curriculum
